Nova Talent are working with a leading Lincoln-based Property Developer that delivers high quality residential and commercial projects across Lincolnshire. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join the team based at Head Office.

The Commercial Manager will be required to ensure that all commercial aspects of the site projects are properly managed and controlled, to enable the business to deliver the highest quality jobs at the best possible cost. This new position will oversee the commercial strategies at tender stage, monitor and report through to completion.

Roles/Responsibilities Include:

To manage and lead the Commercial Team.

Take responsibility for financial management across a number of projects.

Protecting the companys contractual position.

Put together bids and tenders to win new business.

Carry out cashflow and work in progress reporting.

Manage, review and report cost to complete forecasts and cashflows across all schemes.

Manage & report on commercial risks and opportunities.

Manage the contractual elements of the tender and preconstruction stages.

Negotiating and agreeing contracts.

Maintaining commercial control of subcontracts packages.

Ensuring contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and subcontractors are administered.

Oversee the monthly valuation process, claims preparation, final account negotiations, settlements and payment of contractors.

Work collaboratively with internal and external teams.

Skills Required:

A commercially astute negotiator with proven experience in a surveying or estimating field.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Recognise commercial opportunities.

Decisive, organised and methodical, a strong attention to detail and highly numerical and analytical.

Strong contractual experience with good knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.

Good IT skills and an excellent knowledge of Excel.

Confident preparing and presenting cost reports.

Degree qualified or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or a minimum of 5 years experience in a surveying or estimating role.

Hours of Work:

8.00am 5.00pm Monday Thursday and 8.00am 3.00pm Friday
